WAITING LIST INFORMATION for June 2026
THERAPISTS
THE WAITING LIST FOR REQUESTING FREE WORRY MONSTERS AND/OR HAND PUPPETS
IS NOW CLOSED
We will reopen the waiting list in a few months’ time. We’re so sorry but we can’t keep your details until the list opens again, you’d need to apply again, so please “Follow” us on our Facebook page for alerts.
Please understand that we are only a small charity, everything is handmade and we get very overwhelmed by requests. You'd be very welcome to apply again though next time the list opens.
Other ways to get worry monsters and/or hand puppets
We suggest that you find a free worry monster pattern online and ask a knitting group local to you if they would kindly knit some for you. Most knitting groups do knit for charity and that way there would be no postage costs. If you're unsure of where to look, try your local library, which will often hold a "Knit and Natter" group, or alternatively you will find that many folk have mothers or grandmothers who can knit and might be willing to help
Patterns
Our patterns are only available to our registered team of knitters owing to liability and insurance issues
Postage and packing
Items are free, but we do ask for the p&p, payment details of which will be sent to you when your items are available
The charity makes no profit. The monsters and puppets are made entirely by volunteers, who not only devote their time and skills free of charge but also pay for the materials they use. The only charge to therapists is for the actual cost of post, packaging and insurance, either:
-
£9.80 for a box of up to 5 worry eaters (may be monsters or animal worry eaters or a mixture) including hand puppets
-
£5.50 for a box of hand puppets only
We're sorry but we can't send out items until the p&p charge has been paid. Payment is not due until your items are available, when payment details will be sent.
Terms and Conditions
Please note that our items are classed as therapy items, not toys. They must not be given out to children to take away or keep, but used only under adult supervision. Owing to small parts, children under 36 months should never be left alone with them.
We are only able to post items to UK addresses.
See HERE for our other terms and conditions
This time we were so overwhelmed by orders that we have relented and taken more than the 200 requests that we planned. After 10 minutes we had 200, and felt it was unfair to close the list so fast, so we have allowed more, but this must be our limit for now, thank you.
